Joy is a mobile finance app designed to help people (but mostly millenial women) save more money and live happier lives.
That's the boring description. A more fun one would be: Joy. Where robot financial planners/clinical psychologists help you become happier about your money and life using the power of algorithms, machine learning, and silly jokes.
Joy
Curious about Joy but don't have any free space on your phone because your dog wasn't going to take 10,000 photos of herself sleeping, then here are some screenshots. Now you too can experience Joy in the 3rd best and 15th worst way possible.
Easter Egg: There's a hidden photo of my sleeping dog somewhere around the site. Can you find her?
The Joy Website
These are the words I wrote for the Joy website. I don't actually think I need this subtext here. But this is the pattern I've established, so by golly, I'm sticking to it.
The Joy Style Guides
I made six style guides for Joy. Six because we printed them out for everyone in the company and six smaller booklets were preferable to one larger tome.
Quick Intro to Joy, Joy Voice & Tone, Terms to Know
Money Coach Voice & Tone, Backstories, Quotes, Comics
Rules for Writing Each Coach: Punctuation, Slang, Emojis, etc.
Demographics for Joy: Age, Location, Favorite Color, etc.
Breakdown of The 10 Personalities (also see: Financial Personality)
How to Write Outside Joy: Social Media, Web Pages, Ads, etc.
Joy Release Notes
The Money Coaches were in charge of writing the release notes for Joy. Here are some of my favorites. And by "some of my favorites," I mean "all of them."
